OTEK founded in Taipei, Taiwan, 1990. Starting from research of Machine Translation on English to Chinese language, OTEK devotes itself to applications and services of Machine Translation since then.
With years of experience in research of Machine
Translation (MT) and Translation Memory (TM) technologies,
OTEK has developed Transwhiz series, online translation
services and other related application softwares
for English, Chinese and Japanese languages.
Past to Present

1990 OTEK launched its
first version of Transwhiz English-to-Chinese
translation software which was also the first
English-to-Chinese translation software in Taiwan.

OTEK launched Transpen
version 1.0, a pen-sized scanner integrated
with OCR and translation engine to scan, recognize
and translate English and Chinese. |

OTEK released Transpen
version 2.0 which added Japanese OCR and translation
engine to the product. |

| 2002 |
OTEK launched its first
verion of Transwhiz Japanese-to-Chinese translation
software.
OTEK launched its first internet online translation
service - Transwhiz Online.
OTEK launched Transwhiz Power version (Client/Server
structure) aiming at enterprise customers. |

OTEK launched Transwhiz
Chinese-to-Japanese translation software. |

| 2004 |
The online translation
service, Transwhiz Online was seperated from
Otek to be a web portal and was named as "Mytrans".

translation system version 9.0 for English,
Chinese and Japanese languages. |

OTEK openned Mytrans Human Translation
platform for serving case consignors and translators. |

translation system version 10 for English, Chinese and Japanese languages. |
